Three-quarter plate fusee movement jewelled to the 3rd, with cap jewels on balance (diamond), lever and escape. Single-roller lever escapement. Compensation balance, spiral balance spring. Enamel dial, mismatched hands. 44 mm diameter, 7 mm deep, not including centre arbor.
Thomas Frederick Cooper, a London watch manufacturer with a deserved reputation for his export of fine duplex, lever and chronometer watches to America. NB: This is one of only a few recorded movements bearing his King William Street address at which Cooper was based for only a couple of years. Dial with edge chip at IIII. Otherwise complete but fusee chain detached. Not cleaned by me but will tick when pressure is applied to the train.
