The London arm of this famous Swiss firm is offering a limited number of 16-size, 17 jewel PRIMA movements for sale, all with KEW A certificates. HJ, November 1924. 25 x 18 cm (9.5 x 7 ins).
Zenith Watch Company, 119 High Holborn, London. NB: Montres Zenith, though now perhaps overshadowed by the more famous Swiss manufactures, were then amongst the leading manufacturer in obtaining the highest ratings in watch trials. At the NPL (Kew) Trials in 1923-24, Zenith had 16 movements placed in the top 50, more than any other manufacturer, their best movement coming second with a Trial Mark of 96.8.
A good example of Swiss watch retailing practice at that time in Great Britain, post what was the economical, physical and mental disaster of the 1st World War, for most but not all of Europe.
