Interesting Lancashire movement with Christian iconography, circa 1840, from the Alan Treherne collection.
£15.00
Three-quarter plate fusee movement with prominent b-spring stud in the shape of a Christian cross. Single-rolled detached lever escapement. Gold balance, spiral balance-spring. 43 mm diameter.
William Taylor, presumably the watchmaker who Loomes records as being in Llandudno, Wales, later in the century.
Lacking dial, hands and motion work and all rather dusty. Otherwise all looks to be complete but the chain unhooked. Sold as not working.
