F HOPE-JONES – Round the World…
Printed address concerning his ‘Recent World Travels’
£5.00
Paper covers, 15 pages. Offprint of the talk originally given to the British Horological Institute in 1938.
Not directly horological, but an added insight into this important 20th century horologist, FRAS, MIEE and FBHI. Hope-Jones travels included London to Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa, Hawaii, thence across the USA and finally back to London aboard the SS Queen Mary. Seventeen talks and six broadcasts were made throughout his trip, the list of which is enough to believe this was a working, rather than a relaxing, vacation.
Shelfwear to covers, otherwise clean.
