P\u00e9tolat Fr\u00e8res &amp; Anguenot, a la Grande-Viotte, Besan\u00e7on, Doubs, France. No date, circa 1925. <em>Together with<\/em> a 6-page insert showing barometers and more clocks.<\/p>\n<p>An extensive catalogue that provides a good overview of the watches (30 pages of them) then being made in this part of France. Many models of watch are shown, including an 8-day Hebdomas type, chronographs and many with decoratively cast, engine-turned and and engraved cases &#8211; pocket and wrist.<\/p>\n<p>P\u00e9tolat Fr\u00e8res &amp; Anguenot, working at Besan\u00e7on, close to the border with Switzerland. This area was the largest French manufacturer of watches, their output being quite distinct from the earlier work coming out of Paris, and strongly influenced by Swiss work.
