Watch chain – steel
Fine late Georgian / early Victorian chain, circa 1840.
£125.00
Strong steel chain made up of split rings, complete with a lovely, unusual and appropriate ‘charm’ in the shape of a hammer, with T-bar and dog-clip swivel. Total length 9 inches (23 cm) and weighing 24 grams.
A good strong chain suitable for everyday wear, either a waistcoat or a jacket, and appropriate for most pair cased watches which are generally not suited by later Victorian silver Alberts.
In the usual dulled condition for steel, although it would clean up considerably if preferred, the strong dog-clip working properly.
