Solid 18 ct ‘single Albert’ chain with a drop and spring bolt, T-bar, and dog clip, every link stamped 18, the T-bar also stamped JBS (not clear). 10.5 inches (26 cm) in length, weighing 21 grams.
For those who are not sure of how they were worn on a waistcoat, the T-bar goes through a button hole and the watch, held by the dog clip (also known as a swivel), is supported in a pocket. The drop can be used for holding a medal, compass, or similar. The button hole chosen for the T-bar is a matter of taste, sometimes being as low as the pocket, or a higher position can be used to show off the chain, and some traditional waistcoats include a watch chain hole ready stitched. NB: This lighter chain could also be worn in a jacket top pocket.
Suitable for any smaller sized (50 mm or less) pocket watch. Some minor signs of use, otherwise in fine condition.
