The KEYSTONE – Watch and Clock Escapements
Compiled from the series on escapements published in the American Keystone magazine.
£45.00
Boards, 179 pages + publishers adverts, 183 line drawings. Keystone, ‘Organ of the Jewellery and Optical Trades’ Philadelphia, 1904.
With good and extensive sections on the detached lever, the cylinder and the chronometer escapement, but much less so on the history of escapements which Charles Allix once described as “not in the same class of Gros, but still worthwhile”
Some slight foxing, mostly to the endpapers, the back cover showing some marks, and an enthusiastic owner’s signature (in pencil) on the front free endpaper: E C Kenworthy. Otherwise in good, clean condition.
