OSTERHAUSEN – Armbanduhren CHRONOMETER
A good overview of precision wristwatches.
£25.00
Dust jacket, boards, 143 pages, 196 black & white and colour images. Text in German, Callwey Verlag, Munich, 1990.
Despite the lack of English text, this book by Fritz von Osterhausen repays ownership if you are interested in Swiss wristwatches, many of those included which underwent testing prior to being awarded the Swiss description of ‘chronometer’ – a term of sufficient precision not, as we use the term in the U/K, for those items with a detent escapement.
In original publishers simple slip box, the book almost as new.
