OMEGA – The Secret of Switzerland

Rare 100 year celebratory publication by Louis Brandt & Frere.

Item 105736 Categories: Books, Books, etc

£19.00

Original slip box, printed paper cover to card boards in their original tissue wrapping, 60 pages with evocative period illustrations by Cl Humbert. Privately printed for Omega in Switzerland, no date (c.1950).

An interesting post-war self-congratulatory text of just why the Swiss think they were/are so great. This was written before the quartz revolution decimated much of Swiss watchmaking, only to be subsequently resurrected by the ambition and talent of one man George Daniels – an Englishman!

The slip box, a rare survival, showing some shelf wear, otherwise clean.
