Parliamentary Paper No 361, being a Return in pursuance of an Address of the House of Commons in March 1816. Experiments relating to the pendulum vibrating seconds of time in the Latitude of London. 41 foolscap pages, 2 plates. Ordered to be be printed by The House Of Commons, 25 May 1818.

The experiments by Captain Henry Kater FRS took place at the Portland Place home of Henry Browne FRS, utilising his two longcase regulators by John Arnold and Alexander Cumming. The former, with its gridiron pendulum, is shown in the main plate with Kater’s compound pendulum mounted on knife edges in front of it.

Extracted from a larger volume of Parliamentary papers  at some [point. Some light spotting to the plates, otherwise clean and ready to be bound.
