Charles Frodsham, 115 New Bond Street, late 84 Strand ‘By Appointment to the Queen,’ one of London’s leading and most famous watch and clockmakers – see the book on the various Frodsham firms by Vaudrey Mercer, copies of which are usually available on my website. NB: This movement was supplied to Frodsham via Julien Tripplin who was Rotherhams London agent at the time.
Rotherham & Sons Ltd, 27 Spon Street, Coventry, with offices at 1,2 & 3, Holborn Circus, London, the UK’s premier manufacturer of top quality machine-made watches, both pocket and wrist at this time, their movements often being used in Deck Watches. Their best movements were marked ADJUSTED.
Serviced for its previous owner and in good working condition. No previous dedication engraving or monogram, the watch showing just a few of the expected signs of use, but lacking a fly-spring, the front cover needing to be lifted manually – priced accordingly.
