Bernhard SCHMELTZER – Die automatische Armbanduhr
A visual compilation of many different automatic wristwatches.
£20.00
Dust jacket, boards, 224 pages, German text, illustrated throughout in black & white and colour. Verlag Karin Schmeltzer, Duisburg, Germany, 1992.
Examples from 51 different manufacturers from Alpina to Zodiak, the earliest being Blancpain (Harwood), circa 1930. The extensive use of photographs, with many movements shown partially dismantled, mitigates the German text for any non-German speakers, and I would think this is a ‘must have’ for anyone who has to service and repair them.
