Small unfinished 'bagnolet' calibre movement, circa 1875.
Ultra thin, Lepine-style barred going-barrel movement with steel escape and balance cocks, but 'inverted' such that the dial fits on the opposite side to normal and the hollow back single plate holds the train that runs in the reverse direction to normal. 32 mm diameter and only 2mm deep, not including arbors.
In fine unpolished condition and partially jewelled - a rare survival.
