Running from 1869 until 1914, this weekly Society magazine published a series of full page caricatures of famous men and women of the day, prints that remain Vanity Fair's greatest legacy.
Sir John Bennett, a colourful character who tried and failed to become Lord Mayor of London, and who annoyed the English watchmaking trade by championing the sale of Swiss made watches in London - he also sold some very good English made watches.
Some creases and edge tears, neither which will show when framed.
