Rare unused and uncut Northamptonshire watchpaper/trade label, circa 1860.
Printed black on lightweight light green paper. 2 3/4 inches square.
Probably John Peck II, son of John Peck, both clock & watchmaker's recorded as working in Wellingborough.
Note the additional wording that was often added to the engraved plate in order that the printed items could be used as trade labels and tradecards or watchpapers when trimmed.
Such fragile horological ephemera that has survived unused is almost never seen and rarely offered for sale. In fine but not mint condition.
