London finished fullplate fusee movement with maintenance and cap jewels on balance (diamond) and escape, the brass-edge stamped IB. Rare variation of the English single-wheel duplex escapement with a jewelled impulse, as well as retaining the original jewelled roller. One-piece enamel dial signed for its original owner JOSEPH TWENTYMAN, CROOK DYKE. 46.5 mm diameter, 12.5 mm deep, not including centre arbor.

John Blaylock II, son of John, one of an interesting family of Cumbrian watch and clockmakers.

The Monthly Magazine and British Register for 1806 shows a Mr Joseph Twentyman living in Carlisle, his profession given as a "manufacturer"

Hair cracks to dial and lacking all hands and the cap. Not cleaned by me and the balance swinging freely, but not willing to tick. Not working.
